THE WALLA WALLA VA HAS SCHEDULED 2 SATURDAY VACCINE CLINICS FOR ELIGIBLE VETERANS. If you haven't received a COVID-19 vaccination, eligible Veterans can call to schedule a vaccine appointment by calling 509.525.5200, and then press "2" and "2" (or ask for the call center). Veterans from any of Walla Walla VA clinic areas (Walla Walla, Richland, Yakima, Lewiston, La Grande, Boardman, Enterprise) can participate in these special clinics.

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON COVID-19 VACCINATION FOR ENROLLED VETERANS

FEBRUARY 22, 2021 UPDATE:  The Walla Walla VA continues to administer COVID-19 vaccine to Veterans enrolled at all of Walla Walla VA's sites of care. Veterans do not need to call the VA to schedule an appointment; the Walla Walla VA is reaching out to Veterans to directly schedule appointments, based on a high risk stratification plan focusing on the higher risk Veterans first.

Prior to presenting for a vaccination appointment, PLEASE COMPLETE THESE FORMS if possible. This will save time during the initial screening/check in process. Also, please review and/or download Moderna's EUA Fact Sheet for Recipients and Caregivers.

Veterans presenting to the Walla Walla VA (Walla Walla) campus for vaccine appoinments are to report to Bldg. 143 to check in for preliminary screening. Vaccinations are happening inside the clinics at outlying clinic locations. Due to space limitations and need for proper physical distancing, please come alone to your scheduled vaccine appointment. You may bring a caregiver with you if necessary (any other visitors must remain in the vehicle). Please be sure to wear an appropriate mask at all times.

FACILITY STATUS UPDATE:

The Walla Walla VA continues its transition back to face-to-face patient care. Care is still being delivered virtually via telephone, telehealth, and VA Video Connect as needed.

If you have questions about your care or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact your primary care (PACT) team (call 509.525.5200, press option “2” and “2”) or send a secure message to your PACT team via My HealtheVet.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (updated as of February 22):  Only visitors without symptoms will be permitted to enter the VA health care facilities as dictated by the current situation. No visitors under the age of 18 are permitted, including infants, unless under exceptional circumstances. The age restriction does not apply to recognized surrogates. Veterans and visitors who are on main campus for a scheduled appointment or meeting can visit Walla Walla VA’s PatriotBrew coffee shop in Bldg. 143 (after being appropriately screened). Hours may vary depending on staffing availability. Please observe approprate physical distancing and masking AT ALL TIMES. 

Those who access any of Walla Walla VA’s sites of care are REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK until further notice. This policy exists across the VA system, and has been put into place for the health and safety of all. Please note that face masks with exhalation valves or face shields are NOT PERMITTED on VA property. View this CDC page for more details of selecting, wearing, and cleaning masks.

MAIN VA CAMPUS

  • Both the Chestnut St. and Poplar St. entrances are now open for access to the campus.

  • VA campus hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. The campus is closed evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday - Thursday and closed all weekend from 6 p.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Monday.

  • Veterans with health care appointments should park their vehicle, and using a cell phone, follow the instructions on the posted VEText signs. Click HERE to see those instructions. If you are reporting for a vaccine appointment, please park your car and proceed to Bldg. 143 for preliminary temperature screening.

  • Veterans who do not use a cell phone can present to the building where they are scheduled for an appointment for screening and further instructions.

  • All Veterans will be temperature screened at the clinic buildings’ entrances, and those who screen negative to any symptoms will be given instructions on where to wait for their appointment. Anyone who screens positive to any symptoms will be directed to another area for a secondary screening and sent home with further instructions.

  • All visitors will park their vehicles and proceed to Bldg. 74 (directly across from the front entrance of the main clinic, Bldg. 143) to be temperature screened.

  • Veterans needing laboratory services will NEED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT in advance; no walk-in services are allowed at the current time. Should a Veteran present without an appointment, someone will assist the Veteran in obtaining an appointment.


WALLA WALLA VA OUTLYING CLINIC STATUS

Richland (WA) VA Clinic:  Clinic hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; appointments are preferred for face-to face care. Veterans presenting without an appointment will be screened and needs assessed/addressed. Veterans are screened on the second floor of the Federal Bldg. prior to entering the clinic.

Yakima (WA) VA Clinic:  Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F.; appointments are required for face-to face care. Veterans presenting without an appointment will be screened and needs assessed/addressed. Veterans are screened either in the parking lot prior to entry to the building or at the entrance.

Lewiston (ID) VA Clinic:  Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F; appointments are preferred for face-to face care. Veterans presenting without an appointment will be screened and needs assessed/addressed. Veterans are screened prior to entering the clinic; screening also includes all others requesting access. All entering the clinic must wear an approved mask for the duration of time in the building.

La Grande (OR) VA Clinic:  Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F; appointments are preferred for face-to face care; VA Video Connect is also available. Veterans presenting without an appointment will be screened and needs assessed/addressed. Veterans are screened prior to entering the clinic; screening also includes all others requesting access. All entering the clinic must wear an approved mask for the duration of time in the building. 

Boardman/Enterprise (OR) VA Telehealth Clinics:  No face-to-face appointments are being scheduled at this time. Veterans continue to get care via telephone or VA Video Connect. Veterans can call the clinic during clinic hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F) for assistance and referrals. All entering the clinic must wear an approved mask for the duration of time in the clinic.

SERVICES DURING COVID-19 HEALTH PERIOD:

Enrolled Veterans are still receiving essential healthcare services at all sites. In most cases, that care is delivered virtually using VA Video Connect, telehealth, telephone appointments, or Skype with your provider/provider team. Use My HealtheVet to order prescription refills, review labs/other important health information, and also to communicate with your provider team for non-emergent health needs. Also, a new app, Rx Refill, is available to refill refillable prescriptions.
